About

I am an artist living and working in Toronto, Canada. I have always drawn and painted throughout my life as a way of understanding and interpreting the world around me.

Formally trained at Sheridan College and OCAD, I worked as an illustrator early in my career for clients including Nelson Publishing, McClelland & Stewart Limited, Imperial Oil Review as well as many other book and magazine publishers.

When I took an extended break from professional illustration to pursue another career, I continued to draw and paint, using my home and people I am connected to as subject matter.

Recently my focus has largely been on contemporary drawing. I utilize a mix of media, colour and texture to create artwork that is representational but re-imagined. My primary subject matter is objects, photos and my immediate surroundings. These are carefully captured and re-worked, often using alternate colours and textures, as a way to indirectly examine, reflect and comment on the circumstances and people in my life.
