About
Suzanne Gauthier is an artist with a focus on contemporary drawing and painting, based in Toronto, Canada. Her work is primarily representational, depicting objects and people in drawing and paint media.
After studying at Sheridan College and the Ontario College of Art and Design, Suzanne worked for many years as a book designer and illustrator. After leaving the illustration profession to pursue a different career, she has since returned to her studio practice. Her work explores familiar items and ordinary moments through drawings and paintings, examining how the mundane items that populate our everyday lives can accumulate significance beyond their everyday function.
She has been recently developing new work and exhibiting locally.
